Who are we? When are we actually representing ourselves authentically? When we think of our names, what qualities do we attribute to ourselves?
If we are a collection of experiences then there's not really a moment where we are ourselves. Said another way, there's always tomorrow.
A good analogy for this is music. Our lives are like songs. Notes played are like actions taken. When we play a note it's not the whole song, it's a part of it. Same for life, when we take an action, it doesn't represent us holistically.
When we miss a note, we pick up from where we were and keep playing. We don't dwell on the missed note because that would delay the rest of the song. So in life, when we take the wrong action, we should work quickly to move on quickly. The quicker we recover, the sooner we can get back to playing music.
"Music is life itself." - Louis Armstrong
Crafting our song is our life's work. Let's make our music.
