Smile! Brighten the day by sharing some joy with the people you meet. It doesn't take hardly anything from us, and it makes a world of difference.
When we are excited to see people, then people will be excited to see us. Think about the people we enjoy engaging with, truly. Most people who have dogs know that when we come home, we're greeted at the door with joy. So, we're usually excited to see our dogs as well.
Consider how events will play differently if we are able to smile through them, even when life is not sunsets and ocean waves.
It really is the little things!! The small improvements that we make don't add up, they multiply.
We are limitless, but our activity is limited by time. Let's examine an analogy together.
The mind is soil. Decisions are seeds. Actions are water. When we plant decisions they grow, but only if we are performing actions to water the seed and grow the plant. When we master consistent investment in a decision and action, the plant will flower and help to sow new seeds. This comes in the form of related ideas.
For example, when we decide to work out and do it consistently, but not too much (which would be over-watering) and not too little (which would be under-watering) our bodies develop (the plant grows) and we are surrounded by ideas like eating healthy, and have knowledge like how to build something (which are the seeds that come from the first plant).
If we can build ourselves, then we can build anything. The self is always the first test.
We are limitless, but our activity is limited by time. To revisit the previous analogy, life is a field where we grow and we are the patch of soil. We can't grow everything in the patch, but we can grow anything in the patch. We would be wise to choose to plant the seeds that align with our dreams and work to grow these plants so that the harvest is beautiful and full of life. Should we want to create our dreams, then we have to seed the right plants.
“Fall in love with the energy of the mornings trace your fingers
along the lull of the afternoons take the spirit;
of the evenings in your arms kiss it deeply;
and then make love to the tranquility of the nights.” ― Sanober Khan
Live for the moment and enjoy. Remember the future is coming. Use discipline. Above all, along the way, through the early mornings, the lull of the afternoons, and the spirit of the evenings: smile!
